Ugg Booties for Baby!

The last of the holiday gifts for 2004 is now unveiled! It was a pair of baby Ugg-style knit booties for some friends in Colorado...just in time for the winter months :D

Pattern from DIY (do it yourself) network's Knitty Gritty show.

Yarns used: Carron (upper and sole) and Red Heart (for contrasting decoration) Acrylic Yarns.

Comments: I went with these yarn choices because I wanted a pair of functional and easy to care for booties - the household they were going to is an active one :) and provided the baby doesn't grow out of em too fast, they should see plenty of use. The pattern was easy enough to follow, finishing was a breeze. Instead of weaving the contrasting yarn in and out to produce the "seams" I opted for doing duplicate stitches. I only wish I had figured out how to bind off more loosely. These were definitely a fun and quick knit.

Very cute! Thanks for showing us how they turn out in a more affordable yarn!
